FAQ

CAN PARENTS WATCH CAMP?
Yes they can. We just ask that you remain in the bleachers or upper deck areas.

 
WHERE DO WE GO TO CHECK IN/PICK UP AND WHAT ARE THE TIMES?
Instructional Camp: 
Drop off: 9:00 am Avery Aquatic Center on the upper deck.
Pick up: 12:00 pm at Avery Aquatic Center
*if they are doing the Water Polo Festival then pickup is at 4:00 pm
 

Water Polo Festival:
Drop off: 1:00 pm Avery Aquatic Center
Pick up: 4:00 pm Avery Aquatic Center
 

Advanced Overnight Camp:
First day of camp at 4:00 pm at the dorm
(actual dorm will be emailed out once they are assigned)
Pickup at 11:45 am at the pool.
 

Advanced Day Camp:
First day of camp at 4:00 pm at the dorm
(actual dorm will be emailed out once they are assigned
Pickup at 11:45 am at the pool on the final day.
Pickup each night will be around 9pm. Campers should check with counselor each night to confirm dropoff and pickup time and location for each day.

 
IS THERE SPECIFIC TRAINING FOR GOALIES?
Yes, at every session. Skills and technique will be broken down each session.

 
DO KIDS BRING THEIR OWN LUNCH IF THEY DO THE INSTRUCTIONAL AND WATER POLO FESTIVAL CAMPS?
Yes, they will need to bring their own lunch. There will be a one hour break for athletes to rest and eat on the grass just outside the gate. Lunch will be supervised by our staff and athletes will not be allowed to leave the lunch area during the break.

 
WHAT DO WE NEED BRING?
Instructional & Water Polo Festival attendees will need to bring their own lunch as well as towels, competitive swim suits or jammers (board shorts are ok), goggles, swim caps (if needed), sunscreen and shoes.


Advanced Overnight campers need to bring: suits, towels, personal sundries, sleeping bag/linens and pillow, sunscreen, money for merchandise/bookstore.

 
DO WE STAY IN THE DORMS FOR RESIDENT CAMPS?
Yes, campers will stay in the dorms and will walk to and from the dorm and pools. It is a short 10 minute walk.

 
WHERE DO WE EAT AT THE ADVANCED CAMPS?

All campers will eat in the Stanford University dining halls.
Resident campers - first meal will be dinner on Day 1, last meal breakfast on Day 4.
Day campers - first meal is dinner on Day 1, last meal dinner on Day 3. (breakfasts are on your own)

 
ROOMMATE ASSIGNMENTS, HOW ARE THEY ASSIGNED?
There are two beds per room. Campers can request one another. If there are groups of more than two we will room them next to or across the hall from one another.

 
WHO STAYS WITH US IN THE DORMS?
Camp staff will stay in the dorms with all campers. There will be 1 staff for every 10 campers in the dorm. There is also Stanford University conference housing staff located at the front desk of each dorm for further questions and concerns.

 
ARE THERE ANY CAMPS OFFERED IN DECEMBER FOR BOYS?

At this time there are not. The only camps for boys are during the summer.
